This place is a disaster. The older red-headed clerk has yelled at my children for reading the greeting cards, and the other day she made me go to the back of the line and wait AGAIN because my envelopes weren't sealed when I got to her counter. The blonde mail clerk also mocked me to a customer about the fact that I had mentioned I really had to leave so I could pick my kids up from daycare. He actually laughed at me and told me I should have thought about that before going to the post office. He then said to a male customer, "at least you don't need to hurry off to pick up your kids!" Nothing makes a lady feel less like a human than when two privelged white men laugh at her openly for being a full-time working mom. I will never go to this post office again.
Wish I could have negative star rating. Our post lady is the worst I have ever had in 50 years. Countless times I have watched her drive by and leave a note instead of getting out of her jeep to deliver a package. I've complained but it hasn't helped. Today 4 of us were standing in the driveway when she arrived. A contractor was parked in front of our mail box, so she couldn't get to it. She looked at us, backed the jeep up and drove off not delivering anything. Last day to get Christmas package before Christmas. Last month the post office returned a job application I had sent out. I had 2 stamps on it they said I owed more money to deliver. I took it to the post office in Lansing to see what I owe, they said I had more than enough postage, so in reality they owe me money! In the meantime my application arrived too listen for consideration. She hit our mailbox breaking the door, without trying to fix it. I could go on and on how bad our post lady and post office is. I guess when you have no other choice for mail, doing your job isn't important to them because they got you.
Worst post office ever!absolutely garbage!tried to mail something in a priority box in was slightly bulging I wish I could post a pic.the seems of the box were a 1/4 to 1/2in away from touching .nope can't mail priority box. The box is "deformed ...seems have to be touching"what a joke!drove to jolly rd mailed same package with NO issue.
Ridiculous. I asked for packages not to be left on top of the railing where they consistently fall off into the flower beds. Also, it's common sense. Why would you leave packages where everyone from the road can see them? That's just asking for them to be stolen. I ended up with packages not being delivered at all and having to pick them up at the office. The office hours are impossible. What working person can get there between 9 a.m and 4:30 p.m without having to specifically take time off work or skip lunch? The woman at the desk was rude and unhelpful. The only time I've been able to get someone to help was when I emailed the postmaster for the Lansing office who then had to speak to the Dewitt office.
Why even take the time to post the obvious, the US Postal is a complete failure outdated which should be sold to private company to run. Suggestions to readers: 1 only send letters or cards. 2 if sending package ALWAYS generate your own postal label online from home, securely and fully tape to box. 3 Always use a box no bags. 4 Always have your package scanned by postal employee at counter and get receipt. (the delivery tracking and clocks starts then). 5 never let the postal employee change any information on your postal tag, if they do take your package and RUN!
Since posted in 2016 we have had 2 more documented times where she has not come to our door. We now have ring installed so we videotape all people at our door. We keep getting notes no one is home in our box , but hummm either Our mail lady is a ghost or she isn't coming to our door because she's never been taped in our ring!
